Our Mission

Established in 2008, MADRAS MECHANICAL INSTITUTE (MMI) is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute specializing in EV Technology, Two-Wheeler Mechanics and Lithium-Ion Battery Servicing. Since 2008, we have trained 10,000+ students, and 1,000+ of them have opened their own garages and showrooms.

Who We Train

We serve four focused groups — Students below 24 who join our 1-Year Diploma with 1 year of Service Centre Training, Learners aged 24+ who choose our Two-Wheeler or EV Fast Track, Working people who learn in our Weekend Batch, and Business-minded learners who want to open their own EV service shop.

Service Centre Training & Career Support

Paid Service Centre Training at our MOU partner service centres (minimum ₹10,000/month stipend*). Guaranteed for students who pass the exam with required attendance.

Entrepreneur Launch Program

Beyond jobs — we help you start your own EV service workshop. MMI supports you with tools, documentation, garage setup, simple marketing and customer support.

India has crores of two-wheelers on the road, yet many vehicle owners struggle to find a skilled, trusted mechanic. At the same time, many ITI and engineering graduates are still looking for jobs — not because of lack of effort, but because of lack of the right, practical skills.
MADRAS MECHANICAL INSTITUTE (MMI) was founded in 2008 to close this gap. In collaboration with the Education & Industrial Training Revolution Trust (E.I.T.R Trust), we provide industry-focused, hands-on training that turns students into skilled technicians and confident entrepreneurs.
Today, with the EV revolution reshaping India’s automotive landscape, MMI stands at the forefront — training the next generation of EV-ready professionals.
Since 2008, we have trained 10,000+ students, and 1,000+ of them now run their own garages and showrooms. Every course ends with paid Service Centre Training, and our students learn from our own published handbooks in Tamil and English — so that every student, from any background, can build a skilled and respected career.
